The durability:

If you are after the ultimate speargun then look no further than a Rob Allen carbon. From the moment you hold it in your hand its clear why Rob’s guns have the reputation they do.

Each fibre of carbon is pull wound in a continuous manufacturing process using a staggering four tons of tension! This allows the fibre loading to be maintained at an insanely higher level over the traditional mandrel wound tubes. This is why Rob Allen’s technology has such a strong following. Each barrel is pressure tested twice, immediately after it has been made and in a pressure tank for one hour at a depth of 40 meters.

Models over 110cm have a “muzzle brake” weight fitted internally behind the muzzle. This balances the gun when aiming and reduces muzzle lift and recoil on firing. The Rob Allen Shanti is the single 16mm version with a 6.6mm stainless steel tri-cut spear. Ideal for the UK, this strong but light railgun offers deadly accuracy and represents the pinnacle of Rob’s speargun fleet.

The power:

All of Rob’s speargun rubber is manufactured by using the dipping process. This is the most power rubber you can create, and outperforms the common extruded rubber considerably. It also retains its power far longer than the cheaper extruded rubber. This is where RA’s reputation for power comes from, and in order to be able to harness this power a special type of spear is needed.

The accuracy:

The spear is made from a high quality springer steel which is much stronger than the commonly used stainless steel. The stronger the spear, the faster it can be fired. The thicker the spear, the faster it can be fired.
