Working life started at 16, living in a cabin on a shooting estate in Scotland where I
trained as a gamekeeper. At 18, my desire for warmth and adventure led me to
Australia; where I was introduced to free diving, spearfishing, and the odd shark
encounter.
โHookedโ on the hunt I returned to Scotland with my meagre 3mm wetsuit, snorkel,
fins and a determination to make a career out of diving. Following in my fatherโs
footsteps I took the โplungeโ and trained as a commercial diver.
Now 28, I live on the rugged and dynamic island of Shetland, halfway between
Scotland and Norway, finding solace in its wild and untamed waters. The summer
months see me out on the water in my rib, hunting record Saith as well as Cod,
Pollock and Ling.
For an adrenaline rush and the not so faint hearted a spearfishing trip to โMuckle
Fluggaโ, the most northerly and wildest coastlines of the UK is an experience not
to forget!
With my adventures, I became the founder of “Souls Untapped”: a YouTube
channel to inspire people to live closer to nature and a little more on the wild side.
I travel when I can as I love nothing more than experiencing different countries and
their cultures as well as new hunting techniques, cooking recipes, and
understanding new species of fish.
I will be embarking on my next adventure with a return trip to New Zealand
hunting both by land and sea and chasing the yellow tail Kingfish, kinna diving
and chilling out on the beach with a spot of shark fishing! With a cheeky trip
hunting some of the biggest fish in the ocean .
