๐ Fancy an epic spearo adventure?๐งณ
The weather is just starting to turn so it’s the perfect time to take a cheeky trip to Marmaris, Turkey for spearfishing, freediving and foraging.
If you’re free 5th Oct -12th Oct 2024, read on!! With sea temperatures around 18-22 degrees, for the UK spearos this is a luxury and a great way to end the year with some promising diving. Expect to find tasty med catches like Amber Jak, Yellow Jak, Octopus, Squid, Sargo, White Bream, Mullet, Gilt Head, Grouper and lots more, all of which were all caught on the last trip.โ
What to expect
We will work on spearfishing technique, lengthening the breath hold for deeper dives, Co2 training, depth training, equalisation training, free diving specific stretching, โโlung stretches, variable weight dives, how to approach deeper dives by using meditation and visualisation techniques. All taught to you by a highly experienced Spearfishing instructor, Master Aida instructor Oliver Cacioppo.
While this week primarily focuses on spearfishing and freediving training, itโs essential to recognize that these activities can be quite physically demanding. Therefore, weโve incorporated some local traditions that provide a much-needed break.
There will be an opportunity to experience the Turkish HAMAM which involves a full-body massage while you lie on hot marble, followed by sessions in saunas and steam rooms. The invigorating scrubs will leave you feeling rejuvenated and well-prepared for your deep-sea adventures.
What’s included
The price includes accommodation and transfers at set times to and from the airport in Dalaman. Flights are currently ยฃ70 return plus your baggage fees, but prices will rise, so it is wise to book as soon as possible. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable, and the remaining amount is to be paid two weeks before departure.
All boat trips are included in the package. However, you will need to bring your own equipment. There is a shop available with basic spearfishing guns and other essential items. Yoga mats will be provided, and two weeks of dry pre-holiday training will be given. Additionally, you will have free entry to Delphy Pool for two sessions of pre-diving practice, although you will need a buddy for these sessions.
As long as you have covered the basics of freediving and have some experience, we are here to help you progress. Our highly skilled and knowledgeable instructors will guide you through an unforgettable experience. You will enjoy boat trips, shore dives, and stunning views along the Aegean Sea. Not to mention, the warm water will set you up perfectly for the new season.
Price: ยฃ1,850 – to book please email enquiries@spearfishing.co.uk

PERFECT FOR WARmER WATErS
Pathos Nero Freediving Wetsuit
ยฃ206.99
ยญ
Can be paired with the Nero Freediving Carbon fins here.
Read the Apnea Dreams review here.
The Pathos Nero Freediving wetsuit is a 2mm single piece back zip wetsuit designed with an anatomical fit and super elastic construction for maximum comfort when freediving. Perfect for diving in warmer climates.
Jersey/nylon lining interior/glide skin Neoprene exterior for improved hydrodynamics. The soft jersey internal layer means the suit can be put on dry like a normal surfing or scuba suit and does not need to be lubricated like an open cell spearfishing suit.
The glide skin is perfectly designed for free fall when freediving in order to remove as much friction as possible.
Nerรณ has been specially designed for freediving, with minimum parts of fabric in order to reduce sewing and increase elasticity and comfort.
The inner lining is extremely elastic, internally sewn, and externally with a double-layer glue.
The neoprene material features great resistance to compression and an excellent elastic restoration.
Currently we have Medium, Large and Extra Large in stock.
