We are proud to sponsor both of these events – year after year they are amazing and not to be missed! Both events are set up for people of all skill levels, from people just starting out to seasoned pros.
Both are in Cornwall within a week of each other and both are close to our shop on St Austell Bay Business Park in Par so pop in for a browse or to buy any gear you need.

7th Peter Crawford Memorial Weekend
Now in its 7th year and celebrating a true spearfishing legend, Peter Crawford – 12 times British Spearfishing Champion and European Champion of Champions!!
This awesome event is at Pentewan Sands and it is the perfect chilled out family weekend. There is no entry fee – it is just open for people to donate or buy raffle tickets with all proceeds donated to RNLI Lifeboats. In the last 7 years this event has raised more than ยฃ6,000 for the RNLI, an incredibly worth cause.

The Spearfishing Cartel Rodeo
Back for 2024 with a new bigger venue, the Cartel Ranch Spearfishing Rodeo is the UK’s first sustainable and eco-friendly spearfishing competition. This has a real big event feel with prizes from major brand names around the world. The food here is legendary and talked about for months after the event!!!
Comp dive anywhere you want from dawn, weigh in at the comp grounds at 4.30pm on Saturday followed by food (included on Sat evening) and a presentation. Camping is included Fri + Sat. Bar on site, toilet on site, large carpark.ย
Prize categories include Boat Diver, Shore Diver, Largest Crustacean, Most Rubbish Collected and Juniors.
Organised by Mat Le Bass of The Spearfishing Cartel, this is ALWAYS epic and not to be missed.
