Want us to make your speargun band?

When ordering, please choose one of the pre-made band options using the check boxes provided. Here is a description of each option:

  1. Rob Allen dyneema wishbone. This is a closed loop band, common setup for RA, Riffe and Cressi spearguns. As it is a  dyneema wishbone, it is suitable for finned or bevelled notched spears.
  2. Looped wishbones with removable bridle. These are perfect if you need to undo the bridle to fix it to your speargun. Guns that need this style are brands such as Pathos and Salvimar. These are made with a Dyneema wishbone and therefore suitable for finned or bevelled notched spears.
  3. Metal wishbone – used to replace screw in rubbers for a sharp spear notch. This is a closed loop band and such suited for branded spearguns such as RA, Riffe and Cressi.
  4. Roller bands are designed for your roller gun. If you have a different configuration than Rob Allen, Pathos or Salvimar roller bands, let us know and we’ll make it for you.
  5. Screw in rubbers– we’ll insert screw in adapters and tie them off so you can use them with your euro guns. You will need a separate wishbone, you may have one with your old bands. Or if it is unusable or you don’t have one, we would recommend this.

What length rubber do I need?

If you are not sure what length you need for your speargun please feel free to get in touch. However here are the recommended stretch factors and equations to use.

  • 14mm is suitable for a stretch factor of 337.5%
  • 16mm is suitable for a stretch factor of 337.5%

Now for the equations:

For Circular Bands

  1. Measure from the furthest notch/shark fin to the start of the muzzle hole
  2. Multiply by 2
  3. Divide by your stretch factor. If you would like 270%, divide by 2.7. If you would like 340%, divide by 3.4
  4. This number will equal number of cm needed.

For Roller Bands

We’ll make your bands to fit your specific roller, the most common set ups would be; Rob Allen, Pathos or Salvimar style bands. If you have a different configuration to these above, please let us know and we’ll make it for you!

  1. Measure from the furthest notch round the muzzle and back down the length of the gun to where the rubber will sit securely.
  2. Multiply by 2
  3. Divide by your stretch factor. If you would like 270%, divide by 2.7. If you would like 340%, divide by 3.4
  4. This number will equal number of cm needed.

For Screw in Rubbers

Measure from the furthest notch to where the rubbers screw in

  1. Measure from the furthest notch to where the rubbers screw in.
  2. Multiply by 2
  3. Divide by your stretch factor. If you would like 270%, divide by 2.7. If you would like 340%, divide by 3.4
  4. This number will equal number of cm needed.

Remember that not all gun rubbers are made equally and the same is true for spears. Some spears work better when powered by a specific rubber and visa versa.

Also, be sure not to overpower your spear as this will lead to inaccuracies in your shots. Of course if you are unsure then please get in touch.
