The X-Wing C-Evo freediving fins are an exceptionally light weight and powerful carbon fin made for use with the X-wing pockets. The fin blades have a highly responsive flex and long bending profile which makes finning very smooth and keeps pressure off your ankles.
The revolutionary X-wing pocket is the lightest screw in pocket on the market at 270g per pocket in a 43 size, the advantage of the lightweight pockets is that your ankles have to do less work as you are moving around much less weight compared to other fins on the market.
They are sized barefoot so you need to check your sizing if wearing a 3mm sock or above, *please note our pockets in stock are black – Blue can be ordered on request*.
The C-EVO fins were manufactured using a pre-preg vacuum infused process using an aluminum mold that leads to exceptional results in terms of resistance, reactivity and an absence of aesthetic defects. By manufacturing the fins this way it means the fins are much stronger than hand laid carbon fins and can withstand much more punishment during diving and heavily reduces the likelihood of defects meaning the fins should last a lifetime. The fin is exposed to a pressure of around 6kg per cm², and the heating process involves rapidly increasing the temperature to obtain exceptional characteristics.
12 layers of T700 carbon fibers are used in the fin blade. The fibers are woven unidirectionally to avoid side flection and slipping. The finish is the same as that used in the latest regatta boats, reducing friction and turbulence.
The fin blade was designed especially for freediving and deep spearfishing, and its shape creates optimum thrust, taking advantage of even the end of the fin. The fin is at a 30° inclination, making the fin a natural extension of the tibia.
